This crimper is provided in two variations, one for bare terminals and splices, and one for nylon and vinyl insulated terminals and splices. The Ratchet has a special mechanism that does not allow the handle to open until a full cycle ratchet is completed (There is a release lever in case of misalignment and safety reasons).
