Spanish Cedar/Cedro Neck Blanks

Cedro neck blank, 24″ X 3″ X 1″. Also known as Spanish cedar. Usually Cedrella oderata or Cedrella mexicana. One of the nicest machining woods there is, and it has a great smell. Most of the species bleed resin, but you can “set” the resin by heating the blanks overnight in an oven at about 200 degrees. 2 pieces required to make 1 neck (1 for neck/head, and 1 for heel/end block). Choosen for grain and color match.

Cedro, or Spanish cedar for the heel stack, 12″. Chosen to match color and grain of neck shaft. Guitar by Jay Hargreaves and the late Richard Schneider.
